How to apply
The application procedure follows the Decision of the dean on the rules of admission for the Master's Functional Genetics and Bioinformatics programme for the academic year 2025/2026.
Part of the e-application is:
- cover letter including description of research project(s) undertaken in previous bachelor/master studies
- curriculum vitae
- a copy of the proof of payment of the application fee
* Admission is preconditioned by the completion of higher education at the level of Bachelor or higher - proof of the acquisition of this education is required (officially certified copy of the diploma, in the case of applicants from abroad certified documents on the education and courses completed; the faculty reserves the right to request higher forms of verification or nostrification).

Certification of Bachelor's degree
You need to submit a certified hardcopy of your Bachelor's diploma that will be recognized by our Vice-dean for Bachelor and Master Studies. The types of diplomas/certificates and legal requirements differ widely between countries. It is therefore recommended to send the Department of Student Affairs (
International administration - visa
Depending on your nationality and status, you might have to apply for a visa or residence permit to enter and study in the Czech Republic. You should start your visa application as soon as possible as the whole procedure can take several months.
