How to Find a GP in České Budějovice
At the University of South Bohemia, we are committed to ensuring that our students have access to quality healthcare during their studies. If you are a PhD student in České Budějovice, here’s how you can register with a general practitioner (GP):
- Requirements: You need valid health insurance (EHIC for EU students or commercial insurance for others). Non-EU students with part-time university jobs are covered by their employer’s insurance.
- How to Register: Use the QR code to access the virtual nurse "SestraEmmy" and submit your details.
- Emergency Services: In case of an emergency, visit the ER at B. Němcové 585/54, Pavilion C.
- English-Speaking GP: MUDr. Ivo Faflík (Senovážné nám. 13) offers English-language medical services.

Women care
Women’s Gynecological Care in České Budějovice
At the University of South Bohemia, we care about the well-being of our students, including their reproductive health. As an international student, you have access to gynecological care to ensure your health during your studies:
- Accessible Care: Gynecological visits are covered by your health insurance, allowing you to prioritize your health without financial concerns.
- How to Register: Contact GYN Centrum ČB at Metropol, Senovážné nám. 248/2. Services are available in English. Visit www.gyncentrum-cb.cz.
- Emergency Services: For acute conditions, visit the emergency gynecological clinic at Pavilion Z, České Budějovice Hospital. Open daily from 3:00 PM to 7:00 AM and 24 hours on weekends.

Mental Health Support for PhD Students
The University of South Bohemia recognizes the challenges PhD students may face while balancing research, teaching, and personal life. Mental health support is available to help you navigate stress, anxiety, burnout, and other difficulties.
