Study abroad

The Department of Informatics of PřF JU unequivocally recommends that students of both bachelor's and follow-up study programs spend at least one semester at a partner university abroad. You will bring with you some of life's most valuable experiences.

Students can study abroad in the following ways:

In the form of cross-border study - see Cross-border study
By studying at a foreign university with possible support from the Erasmus+ program - see here (JU) or here (PřF).
By studying at a foreign university on the basis of a concluded bilateral agreement outside the EU on the basis of Erasmus+ (JU) international credit mobility.
By studying at a foreign university through one of the other programs: https://www.prf.jcu.cz/cz/studium/erasmus-mobility-studentu
Before deciding whether to travel or not, we recommend reading the guide: https://www.jcu.cz/mezinarodni-spoluprace/zahranicni-pobyty/pruvodce-pro-studenty-kteri-chteji-vyjet-do-zahranici_final.pdf/view

If a student wants to study for 1-2 semesters abroad, and the selected university is not on the list of universities with which JU has a valid Erasmus+ (or other) Agreement, then he/she must make an agreement by e-mail with the foreign workplace where he/she wants to study (it is best to website to find their Erasmus+ program coordinator). He will then introduce the agreement to the Erasmus+ coordinator at the faculty (Mgr. Barbora Okosy), who will gladly help with the negotiation of all the necessary formalities.
