Information for students of Chemistry study programmes

Filling the BSc and MSc assignment form

The Bachelor's and Master's thesis assignment protocol must be completed and submitted no later than during the 3rd semester for Bachelor's programmes and during the 1st semester for Master's programmes according to the measure D48 in the application for filling in assignment protocols.

The assignment protocol should be prepared for the student by the supervisor.

Students can consult the chosen supervisor in advance with the head of the department (Ján Štěrba), especially in the case of external supervisors which are not employed at FSc USB.

All those who play a role in the protocol (student, supervisor, head of department, programme sponsor) and are also studying or working at JU will receive an email notification with a link for approval after the protocol has been written and saved. If all essential persons are from the faculty/JU, nothing is printed and after approval by all necessary persons, the document is automatically forwarded to the study department for insertion into STAG. If the supervisor is from an external institution and/or the signature of a responsible person from the collaborating institution is required, the document is manually signed after electronic approval by persons from the faculty. Such document should then be delivered to the study department in copy to to the secretary of the Department of Chemistry (K. Žižková - This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.)

External advisors-specialists and consultants do not need to sign the protocol, i.e. if they are the only external persons, no paper document is needed.

Check the Faculty regulations and provisions of the dean and vice-dean.

For students working on their MASTERS theses in Linz:
even though you work in Linz, you need to fill in the Assignment of master thesis and submit it in Budweis (Study Dept.) with all the signatures - this is needed for the subsequent uploading of your finished thesis. You can do this anytime during your study, but the simplest and best will be, if you submit the assignment as soon as possible; you will not need to think about it when you are finishing.

When you finish your thesis, you need to upload your thesis in the STAG system.

Bachelor students and master students working in Budweis - of course, you need to submit the assignment as well. The sooner, the better. And of course, also upload your thesis into the STAG system.

Re-admission of students to cross-border study programmes

For students of the cross-border study programmes who had their studies terminated by the University

Based on the Dean's measure D116 - On the specification of conditions for the admission of students to the cross-border study programmes, students who had their studies terminated will be re-accepted into the study only after passing an entrance exam. This also applies to students who remain students of JKU and are re-applying to USB!

See Study regulations.

Reimbursement of financial costs for studies

Please send the documents related to the study to the secretariat of the Department of Chemistry (K. Žižková - This email address is being protected from spambots.
