Department

Molecular biology-oriented research is carried out by more than 20 scientific groups connected with the department, which are either directly at the Faculty of Science of the University of South Bohemia (USB) or at affiliated institutes of the Academy of Sciences. This is mainly basic research, on various model and non-model organisms.
